Terms of Use and Privacy Policy


Data protection regulations have evolved since 25 May 2018, following the entry into force of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

The French Federation of Triathlon and Chained Disciplines (FFTRI.) Attaches great importance to the protection and confidentiality of your private life and the management of your data in accordance with the regulations in force concerning the protection of personal data.

In this respect, our Privacy Policy will allow you to understand what personal data we collect and what we do with it, as well as the rights you have and how you can exercise them.

This policy applies to the data collected on the Espace Tri 2.0 website as well as to other interactions (taking a license, sending a newsletter, etc.) between a user (licensee, club, organizer, competition pass) and the FFTRI..

1. WHAT TYPE OF DATA THE FFTRI. DOES YOUR COLLECTION CONCERN YOU ?

As part of the licensing, pass competition, club affiliation, declaration of proofs, or the use of the contact form, the FFTRI. collects the following data categories :

  • Identification data: surname, first name, date of birth (name and surname of the legal representative if the applicant is a minor), gender, socio-professional category, nationality, postal and e-mail address, telephone number, license number, contact in case of emergency, type of medical certificate, photo
  • User relationship tracking data: support requests, correspondence with the user, etc.

For any request concerning a minor, it is the responsibility of the legal representative (father, mother, guardian) to fill in the relevant forms.

2. WHAT IS THE FFTRI. DO YOU USE YOUR DATA ?

The data collected is used to :

  • Take a license. The information provided allows us to generate a license related to your profile (age category, sex, type of license).
  • View your photo on your license and make it an avatar on your personal space
  • Take a competition pass. The information provided allows us to generate your competition pass.
  • Send you the federal newsletter. To keep you informed of the news of your federation, newsletters are sent by default to all licensees. You can manage your newsletter subscription preferences from your personal space.
  • Send you commercial newsletters (organizers, brands, partners ...). If you have agreed to this, the FFTRI. will send you the commercial newsletters for you to discover products, events, to make you benefit from promotional offers, etc. You can manage your commercial newsletter subscription preferences from your personal space.
  • Realize practicing statistics (licensed or not). The information provided allows us to measure the evolution of our federation, to adapt our development actions (young audience, female audience, paratriathlete, ...) and to respond to requests from the Ministry of Sports.
  • To send you surveys, to know you better and better meet your expectations. Your information allows us to adapt our communication and develop offers related to your expectations.
  • Realize loyalty, prospecting, and promotion actions.
  • To send you the paper and/or digital version of the FFTRI. Partner magazine, subject to the setting up of such a partnership. If you have agreed to this, the partner magazine will send you its magazine by post and / or email. The mailing is reserved for people whose license has been validated before December 10 and is limited to one per household.
  • Respond to any requests from public and governmental authorities.
  • Initiate any disciplinary proceedings against a user, in accordance with the procedures defined by our regulations.
  • Respond to contact solicitations.​ The contact information is used to answer your requests or questions.
  • Affiliate a club. The information provided allows us to affiliate your club, to know the composition of the office, and to have the coordinates of the person to contact for all exchanges.
  • Affiliate your organization. The information provided allows us to affiliate your organization and to have the coordinates of the person to contact for all exchanges.
  • Secure and simplify online registrations by enabling online registration companies referenced to the FFTRI. verify the existence and conformity of your license (first and last name, date of birth, sex, club name, license number).
  • Simplify the management of club members and simplify the management of associations by allowing the FFTRI., your league, your departmental committee, your club to benefit from online services through its partner AssoConnect (provided that the associations concerned have an AssoConnect account).

FFTRI. may also use your data when there is a legitimate interest.

3. WHERE ARE STORED DATA ENTERED IN ESPACETRI 2.0 ?

The entered data on Espace Tri 2.0 are hosted in the European Union (Amsterdam).

4. TRANSFER IN FRANCE TO A COUNTRY OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

Your data is not sold but can be transferred to subcontractors and partners of FFTRI. located in France or in the European Union. Your data is only transferred if it is in compliance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

Your data can be transferred to :

  • Google (or other equivalent partner)
    • FFTRI. uses Google's professional suite (Google Suite) for all of its activities (statistics, classification validation, quota management, mailing/direct mail, e-mail, electronic referral, questionnaires, etc.). Since Google's servers are located in AND outside the European Union, your data is transferred to and from outside the European Union.
  • AssoConnect :
    • Provided your club, your county committee, your league and the FFTRI. have an AssoConnect account, your data is transferred to your partner AssoConnect to allow the FFTRI., your league, your departmental committee, or your club to benefit from online services to facilitate the management of their members and that from the Association.

5. TRANSFER TO A THIRD COUNTRY

6. DURATION OF CONVERSATION

  • licensees

    FFTRI. keep your data as long as you are licensed. In the absence of license renewal, your data are still kept for a period of 3 years in order to be able to keep track of your personal space and access to your personal space if you take a license (transfer tax) , right of training, penalty, etc ...). Beyond this period, your data will be anonymized.

  • Competition pass

    FFTRI. keep your data for the year in which you purchased a competition pass. In the absence of a race ticket renewal the following year, your data is still kept for a period of 3 years in order to ensure access to your personal space in case of a subsequent pass. Beyond this period, your data will be anonymized.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Any user of the Espace Tri 2.0 can write to the address rgpd@fftri.com to assert his rights :

  • Access : user can request an extract of the stored personal information.
  • Rectification : user can ask to modify an erroneous information.
  • Right to be forgotten : user may ask to delete one or more personal information. Data including FFTRI. need for the purpose for which they were collected, necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation and / or the establishment, the exercise or the defense of rights in court may however not be removed.
  • Portability : user has a right to the portability of his data.

Any user of Espace Tri 2.0 can also oppose a treatment for legitimate reasons because of its particular situation.

n case of claim to which FFTRI. would not have given you a satisfactory answer, you can turn to the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés (CNIL) in charge of compliance with the obligations regarding personal data.

9. CHANGES

This policy may change especially in the event of a regulatory change or if changes are made to the activities of FFTRI. In the event that the changes in this policy affect your rights, the FFTRI. will contact you by email to inform you of changes.
